Delete Equipment


From time to time it may be necessary to remove a piece of equipment from the hotel database. The Delete command provides this function. Starting from the Equipment List locate the equipment to be deleted then click on it to highlight that line in the equipment list. Then click on the Delete button at the bottom of the screen.

Deleting Equipment

Before deleting the selected piece of equipment window similar to the one shown below will be displayed. This window will display basic information about the piece of equipment that is about to be deleted. After verifying that the correct piece of equipment was selected click the Delete button to proceed with the deletion. Clicking the Close button will close the window leaving the indicated equipment in the database.

Deleting Equipment

 

Deleted equipment is removed from the active database and preventive maintenance will no longer be scheduled for it. Historical records concerning the deleted equipment will be preserved. This includes completed work orders. Any open work orders will need to be completed manually.

 

As the warning states, deleting equipment cannot be undone. Exercise caution when deleting equipment to insure that the proper equipment is deleted.
